DESIGN FOR A RACKET.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 19,048, dated April 16, 1889.
Application filed March 18,1389. Serial No. 303,783. Term of patent 14 years.
To all whom it may concern.-
Be it known that I, CHARLES A. DAVIS, a citizen of the United States, residing in the city of Washington, District of Columbia, have invented and produced a new and original Design for a Racket, of which the following is a specification.
My invention consists in a novel design for a racket, which is represented in the annexed photographs, Figures 1 and 2 showing two diiferent views of the same.
The design comprises the usual body, A, and handle B, the latter formed with a series of depressions, a, and ridges b, conforming more or less closelyto and designed to receive the fingers and thumb of the hand when the handle is grasped thereby. It is also provided with the curved and convoluted face 0,
Fig. 2, corresponding to the palm proper of the hand.
The distinguishing feature of my design is the series of depressions and ridges illustrated, the whole presenting the appearance of a plastic body which has been grasped by a human hand and firmly pressed, leaving the imprint of the hand.
Having thus set forth my invention, whatI claim is The design for rackets herein described and shown.
