JAMES L. FOLSOM, OF BROOKLYN, NEW YORK, ASSIGNOR TO THE HARTFORD CARPET COMPANY, OF HARTFORD, CONNECTICUT.
DESIGN FOR A CARPET.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 19,013, dated April 9, 1889.
Application filed March '7, 1889. Serial No. 302,345- Term of patent 3% years.
To all whom it may concern.-
Be it known that I, JAMES L. FOLSUlVLaCitlzen of the United States, residing in Brooklyn, county of Kings, and State of New York,have
5 invented a new and original Design for (arpcts, of which the following is a specification,
reference being had to the accompanyingphotograph, which forms a part of the same.
The invention relates to a design to be to worked into or upon surfaces, such as carpets I5 view of a carpet showing my new design.
My design consists of a body, A, and aborder, B. The body A is made up of irregular ornamentation composed of curved lines ar ranged in combination with straight lines to produce a watered effect. The border 13 has an inner hand of irregular ornamentation, producing a watered effect. The outer hand contains figures having long irregular radiating arms, and the portion between these two bands is filled with irregular ornamentation.
What I claim as new, and desire to secure by Letters Patent, is
1. The design for carpets, consisting of the body A, substantially as shown.
2. The design for carpets, consisting of the border B, substantially as shown.
