DESIGN FOR QUILTING.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 18,402, dated June 19, 1888 Applicalion filed January JP, 1888 Serial No. 161301. Term of atent! years To all whom it may concern:
Be it known that 1, CHARLES '1. WAGNER, of College Point, Queens county, State of New York, have originated and produced a new Design for Quilting, of which the following is a specification.
My design relates to quiltings which are manufactured for linings for skirts, for garments, and for lied-coverings.
The design consists of a combination of rows of circles so arranged that the circles of alternate rows will be opposite the spaces between the circles of intermediate rows and figures arranged betwc en said circles and severallycousistiug, essentially, of two oppositely extending figures and semicircles connecting the ends thereof.
The accompanying drawing represents a piece of quilting ornamented with my design.

Each of such figures therefore appears to be within a group of four circles.
What I claim as new, and desire to secure by Letters Patent, is-
The design for qnilling, consisting of staggered rows of circles and staggered rows of opposed figures composed of bracket-shaped lines and connectingseuiiuiroles, substantially as shown and described.
