DESIGN FOR CEILING-DECORATION.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 17,746, dated September 27. 1887.
Application filed August 22, 1887. Serial No. 247,618. Term of patent 35 years.
to The invention relates to a design shown on surfaces, such as paper for ceilingdecorations or similararticles; and it consists in the novel configuration and grouping of figures herein specifically shown and claimed.
15 The accompanying photograph is a face view of ceiling-paper showing my new design. My design consists of a body part, A, and a border, B.
The main feature of the bodyA is the sun- 2c bursts,which are circular in general form and have a solid center, from which radiate sharp needle-like shafts or rays on every side. These sun-bursts are scattered upon a ground ornamented with a fine continuous lace-work.
The border B has an outer and inner edge 2 5 or margin of an ornamental character. The middle portion of the border is covered with a prominent lace-work, under which appear the radiating needlelike shafts of sunbursts, shown only in part.
What I claim as new, and desire to secure by Letters Patent, is-
1. The design for ceiling-paper, consisting of the body A, substantially as shown.
2. The design for ceilingpaper, consisting 35 of the border 13, substantially as shown.
3. The design for ceiling-paper, consisting of the body A and border B, substantially as shown.
