To all whom it may concern:
Be it known thatI, ANTHONY HESSELS, cl the city, county, and State of New York, have invented ainew and original Design for Bows for EarRings, 05 which the following is a full, clear, and exact description, reference being hind to the accompanying drawings, making part of this specification.
In the drawings, Figure 1 is:a front view of an ear-ring constructed with my newly-designed ealr-ri nig bow, and Fig. 2 is a side view of the saline.
Similar letters of reference indicate cozrre spondiing parts.
Heretofore the bows or hooks for earrings, from which a gem-holder is suspended, were made of uniform thickness throughout, and had a rather meager and thin appearance.
The leading feature of my designiconsistsin a widened and thickened part of the front of the bow, extending from the top to the eye at which thegem-holder is suspended, said part gradually increasing in width from the top downward.

Having thus described my design, I claim as newand desire to secure by Letters Patent- The design for an ear-ring neck orbow, consisting of the part G on the front of the bow, \vhllfihl part G gradually increases in width from its upper to: its lower end, which lower end is located at the eye from which the gemsetting is suspended, substantiall y as set forth.
