Be it known that I, J OBEPH WE B, a ciri-j to be a full, clear and exact description of the invention, reference being bad to the aecomspecification. V

This invention has relation to designs for la'm'p globes or shades or similar articles; and it consists in the surface ornamentation and onfiguration hereinafter described, and shown in the accompan ing drawing.

The globe or s ade is of the ordinay-contour or out-line, and one of the features of. my

invention consists in the dating on the upper I edge, as shownat a. N The body of the shade or globe is ornamented with diagonal pillars b b, having rounded or oval faces, and bevels b' b at their;

jections or points a o a, forming the well-known "hob-nail pattern, such points or projections being the product of angular or V- jshaped grooves running horizontally and perpendicularly. At the base and above the neck horizontal ridges d d d are formed.-

Having described my design, I claim 1'. The design for globes or shades, consisting of thesnbstantially hemispherical body havinghparallelmonnded pillars extending diagonally over the hemispherical portion and the intervening pyramidal projections,

described and shown.
