gum Qm ATTORNEYS UNITED STATES PATENT OFFICE,
JULIUS H. HOIWVITZ AND ARNOLD HEPNER, OF NEIV YORK, N. Y.
DESIGN FOR TRIMMING.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 14,359, dated October 23, 1883.
Application filed August 20, 1883. Term of patent 13% years.
To aZZ whom, it may concern Be it known that we, JULIUs H. HoRwITZ and ARNOLD Harman, of the city, county, and State of New York, have invented a'new and original Design for Trimming, of which the following is a full, clear, and exact description, reference being had to the accompanying drawing, making part of this specification, which drawing fully shows the nature of our design.
The object of our invention is to furnish an improved trimming for ladies hats and other p nrposes; and the invention consists of a trimming having a central strand of plain or figured cut or uncut chenille, and of link-shaped loops of cords connected to the central strand of chenille.
In the drawing, A represents the central strand of plain or figured cut or uncut chenille, and B two cords, of any suitable fabric,
which are so interlocked with each other and with the central strand, A, that link-shaped loops are formed, which form, with the strands of chenille, an ornamental trimming for ladies hats and other purposes.
Having thus described our invention, we claim as new and desire to secure by Letters Patent A design for trimming, composed of a central strand and of linleshaped loops of cord connected to the strand, substantially as shown and described.
In testimony that we claim the foregoing as our invention we have signed it this 27th day of August, 1888.
