Beit known that I, Swrrs CONDE, of Oswego, in the county of Oswego, in the State of New York, have invented a new and useful Design for Knit Fabrics, of which the following, taken in connection with the accompanying drawing, is a full, clear, and exact description.

This design consists in a peculiar form of stripes produced in knitted fabrics by the enr ploynient of difercntcolored yarns, and co1nposed of two zigzag lines crossing each other at the center of their component consecutive bars, said stripes alternating with intervening parallel plain stripes, substantially as illustrated in the annexed drawing, wherein- A denotes the figured stripes formed of the zigzag lines a. a, crossing each other at the center of each consecutive bar, as aforesaid. These figured stripes are arranged alternately with intervening parallel plain stripes, as shown.

What I claim is- The design for knitted fabrics, consisting of figured stripes A, formed of zigzag lines a a, crossing each other at the center of their com ponent consecutive bars, said figured stripes alternating with intervening parallel plain stripes, substantially as described and shown.
