DESIGN FOR AN ORNAMENTAL CHAIN-LINK.

SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 12,593, dated December 13, 1881.

Application filed October 3, 1881. Term of patent 7 years.

To all whom it may concern:

Be it known that I, WARREN \V. BRIGGS, of the city and county of Providence, State of Rhode Island, have invented and produced a new and original Design for Ornamental Chain Links, of which the following is a full, clear, and exact description, reference being had to the accompanying drawings, forming part of this specification.

In the drawings,Figure lrepresents chainlink after my new design, consisting of three loops united together, and ornamented by ineansof two pieces of square tubular wire having notches cut into the corners, in which the loops are embedded.

Fig. 2 is a perspective view of a link having two loops ornamented by two pieces of square tubular wire having notches cut into the corners thereof, the ends of the loops passing through the notches an d tubular pieces of wire.

In the drawings, a a are the loops, and b b thepiecesofsquaretubularwire,havingnotches cut into the corners and placed on the loops at right angles to the loops.

Having thusdescribed my invention, I claim as new and desire to secure by Letters Patent- The design for an ornamental chain-link,

substantially as shown, the same consisting of theloops and notched short tubular pieces, having their notches embracing the loops near or at their ends.
