Description

DESIGN.
P. MEINBERG.
BROW AND NECK BAND.
No. 12,405. Patented Aug. 9,1881.
WITNESSES: INVENTOR:
. ATTORNEY UNITED STATES PATENT OFFICE.
FRANZ MEINBERG, OF NEW YORK, N. Y.
DE SIGN FOR A BROW AND NECK BAND.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 12,405, dated August 9, 1881. Application filed July 7, 1881. Tenn of patent 7 years.
To all whom it may concern:
Be it known that. I, FRANZ MEINBERG, of
the city, county, and State of New York, have invented a newandoriginalDesign for a Brow and Neck Band, of which the following is a full, clear, and exact description, reference being had to the accompanying drawings, making part of this specification. This invention relates to an improved design for brow-bands, neck-bands, belts, and similar articles; and it consists of a brow-band, neckband, or belt, the body of which is arranged with raised side flanges, between which is placed a filling-chain of plain wire links and longitudinally-striped ornamental links.
In the accompanying drawings, which fully represent the nature of my design, Figure 1 represents a perspective view of a brow-band made according to my design and Fig. 2 is a vertical transverse section of the same on line .90 a, Fig. 1.
Similar letters of reference indicate corresponding parts.
A in the drawings represents a brow-band, neck band, or belt, which is provided with raised side ribs or flanges, a, and with an ornamental chain, B, which is arranged in the space formed between the side ribs, a. The chain B is made of broad ornamental links, which are covered with leather of any suitable color, and arranged with longitudinal center bands orstripesand of smallerconnecting wire links alternating therewith.
The ornamental links of the chain B impart t0 the brow-band or other article a striking character. and relieve the rather monotonous appcaranceof the brow-band with plain chains.
Having thus described niyinvention, Iclaim as new and desireto secure by Letters Patent A design for brow-bands, neck-bands, and belts, consisting of a basepart, A, having raised side ribs, aa, andofanornamentalchain, B,arranged in the space between the ribs, said chain having broad longitudinally-striped links and plain connecting wire links, substantially as shown and described. 7
In testimonynthat I claim the foregoing as my in ven tion I have signed it this 29th day of June, 1881.
FRANZ MEINB ERG.
