Description

DESIGN.
L. KYSER 8a A. G. REX. Toy Money Box.
NcQ12,044.
Patented Nov. 30,1880.
UNITED STATES PATENT OFFICE.
LOUIS KYSE t ANI) ALFRED O. REX, OF PHILADELPHIA, PENNSYLVANIA.
DESIGN FOR A TOY MONEY-BOX.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 12,044, dated November 30, 1880.
Application filed July 2, 1880. Term of patent 35; years.
To all whom tt may concern Be it known that we, LOUIS KYSER and ALFRED G. REX, both of the city and county of Philadelphia, and State of Pennsylvania, have invented an Improvement in Design for a Toy llloney-Box, of which the following is a specification.
Our invention relates to the design given to toy money-boxes; and it consists in the de sign shown in the accompanying drawings and hereinafter described and claimed.
In the drawings, Figure 1 is an elevation of our improved design fortoy money-boxes. Fig. 2 is a plan of same.
A is the body of the box, and is composed of two curved sides, one of which may be plain, but preferably both are ornamented alike, as shown in Fig. l.
The body A is provided with a representation of a door in the middle with the word Bank above it, and on either side of said door are perforations, rectangular and clubshaped openings. We do not. confine ou1= selves lo the particular shape of these openings. This body A rests upon a bed-plate, B, of similar elliptical shape, and secured to the top of the body is a cap, 0, of similar shape to bed-plate B. This cap 0 is provided with slot E, through which the money to be deposited is placed, and a dome, D, having heart or other shaped openings therein, and the whole being mounted with a knob.
We do not claim anything shown in the design for toy money box patented by us August [0, 1880, for in that case the crosssection of the body was hexagonal in shape, and in this case it is elliptical.
Having now described our improved design, what we claim as new, and desire to secure by Letters Patent, is
1. The design for a toy money-box thebody of which is in shape a cylinder with an elliptical base, the sides being perforated and provided with representations of doors, substantially as shown and described.
2. The design for a toy money-box composed of cylindrical body A, having an elliptical base, bed-plate13,elliptiealeap,U, provided with slot E, elliptical domeD. and ornamental pertbrations, substantially as shown and described.
3. The design for a toy money-box having the body in shape like a cylinder having an elliptical base and surmounted with an elliptical dome, the body and dome being'provided with perforations, substantially as shown and described.
in testimony of which invention we hereunto set onr hands.
