DESIGN FOR COOKING-RANGES.

[Term of patent 7 years] To all whom it may concern Be it known that I, WILLIAM BURROWS, of Brooklyn, in the county of Kings and State of New York, have invented and produced a new and novel Design for (looking-Ranges; and the following is declared to be an exact description of the same.
This design relates to the ornamentation of the plates of the range, as represented in the engraving.
The door a of the oven and the door I) of the lower oven are both oblong, with raised borders, central oblong panels d, and Grecianwork ornaments n 0, with leaflet extremities placed diagonally in the corners of the sunken panel near the borders of the respective doors. There are also leaflet ornaments around the central panel, all in raised work, as represented.
The fire-door f has a raised border and a diamond-shaped ornament, i, in the middle, and ornaments l in the upper angles. The ashdoor 9" has the same ornaments in the angles as there are on the door f, and a similar central diamond ornament.
The elevated oven is supported by columns 8, that are polished, to add to the ornamental appearance. The front plate of the elevated oven has sunken panels t, with circular ornaments, as shown, and the doors a have raised borders, central panel o, and leaflet ornaments, as shown.
The head-plate w has a circular leaflet and triangular ornaments in relief, as shown.
I claim as my invention-- 1. The design of a range-door, consisting in the raised border, central panel, Grecian ornaments, and the leaflets in the angles, substantially as described, and represented at a and b.
2. The design of the diamond-shaped ornaments and angle ornaments within the raised border of the door, substantially as described, and as represented at f and r.
3. The design of the elevated-oven front plate and its doors, the same consisting in the sunken panels t, with circular ornaments, the raised borders of the doors, the central panels 1), and leaflet ornaments, as shown.
