Specification forming part of Design No. 11,121, dated March 25, 1879; application iled Marcli 3, 1879.
' [Term of patent 7 yearsfl To all whom it may concern Be it known that I, R. ELMER GooDRIcH, of New Haven, in the county of New Haven and State of Connecticut, have invented a new Design for Car Basket-Rack Bracket; and l do hereby declare the following, when taken in connection with the accompanying drawing, and the letters of reference marked thereon, to be a full, clear, and exact description of the same, which said drawing constitutes part of this specification, and represents, in the figure, a side view.
This invention relates to a design for the bracket used in railroad-oars to form the basket near the ceiling for the reception of packages, &c. and it consists in the conliguration of the bracket, as shown in' the accompanying illustration.
The general outline ofthe body of thebracket is polygonal, with part of the sides removed, corresponding to the open front. From the center bars extend radially outward, and with branches running to each angle. These bars and branches are straight. In the center is a rosette in form of a cross, and a correspondingly-shaped rosette at each angle, and at the intersection of the bars and branches.
At the rear arms a a extend outward, as a means for securin g the bracket, and from the bottom is a ring-shaped extension, b, for umbrellas, &c.
I claim- The herein-described design for car basketrack bracket, consisting of the polygonallyshaped body, radial bars, and branches, with rosettes at the angles and intersection of the bars and branches, as shown in the accompanyin g illustration.
