To all whom it may concern:

Be it known that I, DANIEL Kors, a citizen of the United States, residing. in the borough of Manhattan, city, county, and State of New York, have invented an Improvement in Hose-Supporter Belts, of which the following is a specification.

Hose supporter devices are usually employed in connection with and sold as a part of a corset. Usually corsets out-wear hose supporters and it becomes necessary to sew new supporters to the corset or provide a substitute.

The device of my invention may be used with any style or make of corsets and especially corsets which do not initially come provided with hose supporters, and the same may also be employed as a substitute for attached hose supporters.

In the device of my invention, I employ a belt to extend around the waist preferably over a corset or corset waist, with securing devices at the ends and connected therewith and depending therefrom are hose supporter devices coming both at the front and sides. I construct the hose supporter devices coming at the front of the figure as crossing tension members drawn upon from opposite directions and having an abdominal flattening effect. These crossing tension members may be single or double.

In the drawing, Figures 1 and 2 are plans ofhose supporter belt devices showing forms of my invention and in which the same are shown as laid out flat.

Referring particularly to Fig. 1, a repre sents a belt with suitable end fasteners 2 3, the one being adjustable and the other fixed. 7) 0 represent V-shaped crossing straps at about the center of the belt and which in wear come at the front of the figure. These crossing straps are secured by lines of sewing 1 5 to the lower edge of the belt; and b c are supporter straps sewed thereto and which extend to suitable metal hose supporter engaging devices.

In Fig. 1 e and f represent side straps and c f supporter straps secured thereto and depending therefrom.

Referring to Fig. 2, the form of belt shown therein is made up of two parts of material it and i, the part it having formed integral therewith the strap members 72, and [L2, and the part 2' having formed integral therewith the strap members i and 71 The parts 71. z are centrally connected along a sewed line of union 6 which is preferably strengthened and reinforced by a small overlying piece of fabric secured thereto and shown in Fig. 2 by dotted lines. In Fig. 2, the ends of the straps are adapted to be connected in an adjustable relation according to the waist measure; there being a buckle S on one end adapted to receive the opposite end of the strap.

From the foregoing description and the illustration, it will be apparent that in my invention the strap or tension members cross at the front so that the hose supporters going to either limb draw from the opposite side, and also that there are side straps which draw straight from the hose. The crossing tension members at the center of the belt coming at the front of the figure, overlie the corset at the front over the lower portion thereof and have an abdominal fiattening effect, tending to hold the corset down into position.

I claim as my invention:

1. A hose supporter belt comprising a belt portion, devices at the free ends thereof for connecting the belt in an adjustable relation and straps depending from the central portion of said belt and arranged to form V-shaped supporters with the inner members crossing, and a hose supporter fixedly secured to the apeX of each V-shaped supporter.

2. A hose supporter belt, comprising a two-part belt member, each part having at one end two strap members, the parts being connected together at the center line of the belt members and the strap members extending toward one another from opposite directions, with their free ends connected, and hose supporter devices connected thereto.
