YY1-The nature of `my yinvention consists in providing, for coal-stoves; and furnaces, grates to supportcoal in combustion, constructed' by the' use of two rings, one* placed above the'other,` with bars projecting from their inner rims toward the `centre, -each alternate bar" on the npper and lower rings, that by allowing the bottoni ring to be made stationary, and the upper one vmovable `in a circul'armanner, the openings in the ,grate maybe enlarged, to discharge ashes,cinder, and

clinker. y

The operation` of my improvement is` asV follows: The bottoni ring, G,with internalprojecting bars H, and cross-bar B, to remainstationary.
