State of New York, have invented certain new and useful Improvements in Cigarette- Boxes, of which thelfollowing is a speciication, such as will enable those skilled in the art. to which it appertains to make and use the same. i
This invention relates to cigarette boxes; and the object thereof is .to provide an improved device of this class which is also adapted to serve as a match holder or match box; and with this and other objects in View thc invention consists in a device of the class specified constructed as hereinafter described and claimed.

With the construction shown in Fig. l, the flap or door b is {iuslrwith the top or cover a when closed, but with the construction shown in Fig. 3 the Hap or door adds to the thickness of the box a transversely of the central portion thereof as clearly shown in Fig. 4.
My invention is not limited to any partie ular size of the box a, nor to any particular material used in the construction thereof, nor to the shape thereof, and various changesin and modifica-tions of the construction herein described may be made, within the scope of the appended claims, without departing from the spirit of my invention or sacrificing its advantages.
Having fully described my invention, what I claim as new and desire to secure by-Letters Patent, is r 1. A cigarettebox provided with a hinged top o r cover having a transverse opening provided with a hinged flap which closes said opening and also serves as a match holder.
