W. J. NEEFS.
CUFF HOLDER.
APPLIOATION FILED $22129, 1908.

I'IE STA "N FFIE.
WALTER JOSEF NEEFS, OF DUSSELIDOBF, GERMANY.
CUFF-HOLDER.
Specification of Letters Patent.
Patented Sept. 14, race.
To all whom 'it may concern."
Be it known that I, WALTER Josnr Nnnrs, a subject of the German Emperor, residing at Dusseldorf, Germany, have invented. new and useful Improvements in Cuff-Holders, of which the following is a specification.
This invention relates to a cuff holder adapted to secure a cuff directly to a coat sleeve, so that the cufi will always protrude from the sleeve to a uniform extent. The cuff holder is provided with a perforated disk to which a button of suitable design may be sewed, so that the button may be readily exchanged for one of a different style.
In the accompanying drawing: Figure l is a perspective View of a coat sleeve and cuff connected by my improved holder; Fig. 2 a front view of the holder, and Fig. 3 a side View thereof.
The curved shank 10 of the holder is provided at one end with a foot or shoe 11, and at its other end with a perforated disk 12. To this disk a button 13 having the usual thread openings is sewed by threads 14:. This button should be of the same style and color as the buttons 15 carried by the coat sleeve 16.
In use, the holder is passed either with its foot and shank inwardly through a button hole of sleeve 16, and then through the button holes of and 17, or the holder is first secured to the cuff and then its buttonshaped head is passed outwardly through the sleeve. I
It will be seen that my improved holder permits the ready attachment of the cuff directly to the coat sleeve, in such a manner that any objectionable exposure of the holder is entirely prevented. Furthermore, the button carried by the holder may be readily removed and replaced by one of different design, so as to conform to the particular style of buttons attached tothe coat.
I claim:
A cuff holder comprising a shank, a shoe at one end thereof, a perforated disk at the other end thereof, and a perforated button sewed to the perforated disk.
Signed by me at Barmen, Germany, this 15th day of September 1908.
WALTER JOSEF rains. [I.. 5.]
