My invention, which relates generally to improvements in display or package boxes or casings, more particular] has for its object'to provide e'sirti'ple an. pfi tlinr'con- 'stru'ction of metallic corner' members, espe- (ritilly'desi' nod 'for conveniently and positively licking the adjacent ed es of glass (or other vitrenuS-meteriaL) si es and ends of the box or casin *without the necessity of'usi'n rivets or drlllih the vitreous body of the ox 01' casing, 1mg whereby 'the several parts that constitute the box or casing are of a simple, economical, str'ong'nnd clurablc arrangement.
With other objects in view, my inventionconsists in certain details of construction and peculiar combination of arts, all of y explained, s iecifically {minted out in the appended c aims and i lustratecl in the accompanying drawing, in which Figure 1, is a perspective view of,a gloss box or casing constructed in accordeneewith my invention. Fig. 2, is a view'of one end thereofend showin the cover/or top ,member swung back. i 3, is; a vertical section of one corner 0% the box on the line 3--3 on Fig. 1. Fig. 4, isehopizontel ecclion partly in perspective, of one oorner of the box,and showing the preferred form of the corner portion. Fig. 5, is a detail view of one corner of the bottomsframe or rail member. Bi 6, is a detail View of the top frame or railgof the body of the box or easing, and Fi 7, is a View that illustrates the two parts 0 one of the end members shown in F 1g. 4.
In its practical application, my invention comprehends end rail members that constitnte'the corners of the box andwhich are formedof sheet metal bent into such aha in cross section so as to insure a substantial rigidity thereof to withstand lateral strain and to form'vertical guideweys disposed at such angles to each other whereby to receive the adjacent ends of side and end ortions of the box, and more esgecially esigned for receiving the ends 0 glass,

'l rc bottom 1* of the box may be of street metal and secured to the under side of the bottom rail in any approved manner.
From the fore oing description, taken in connection with tie accompanying drawing, the complete construction and advantages of my invention will be readily apparent.
It will be readily understood that my construction of corner posts or rail clamping means maybe easily varied to suit the par ticular shape of the box or casing or for bcin utilized for securing the glass plates of SLOW windows without departing from the spirit of my invention or the scope of the appended claims.
Having thus described my invention, what I claim is:
1. A metallic corner piece for holding} metal member bent to form portions for re 7 glass plates and the like, comprising a single cviving the tflltlH of the plate, and another nn'tnl member that interlocks with the other member and forms an outer n'oteeting wall therefor.
2, A metallic corner piece for holding glass plates and the like, comprising it sheet metal nieinher bent to l OI'lI'l portions (lisposed ttt right on les to each other for re eeiving the ends e l the glass plates and unother sheet metal member interlocked with the other n'iernber that extends over the outer tones of the glass reccivin portions.
t]. The comhirmtion witl i top and bottom triunes, LJ slmped in cross-section to tit over the top and bottom edges of less ilates and the like, corner pieces, each urine of metal members bent up to form vertical grooves relatively at right angles to each other, and adapted to receive the ends of the plates; an outer projecting metal member that fits over the outer or angle ed e of the plate receiving member and inter ocks therewith, and a screw bolt that passes through the top frame down between the grooved metul member, and the outer projecting member und the screw bolt en aging clam nut.
