IMPROVEMENT 1N NECK-Yenes.

To all whom 'it may concern:

Be it known that I, R. VoRIs, of Oneida, in the county of Knox, and in the State of Illinois, have invented certain new and useful Improvements in Neck-Yoke; and do hereby declare that the following is a full, clear, and exact' description thereof, reference being had to the accompanying drawings, and to the letters of' reference"narked'theron.

The nature of my invention consists in the construetion of a metal clasp for seeming the leather holdbaek to a neck-yoke.

In order to enable others skilled in the art to which my invention appertains to make and use the same, I will now proceed to describe its construction and operation, referring to the .annexed drawings, which form a part of this specification, and in which-- Figure 1 is a plan View;

Figure 2, a cross-section; and

Figure 3, a perspective ofthe clasp, made in one piece.

'A represents-a neck-yoke, to be used in doubleteam driving, and which may be constructed in any of the known and usual ways.

The leather holdback D is inserted between the two jaws G C, in such a manner that the loop of thel same is between the two metal rings B B,

The jaws C C-may be made in onepiece, as shown in iig. 3, having ears E E' at the ends, which are screwed fast to the neck-yoke, or the said ears may be elongated, and metal clasps or rings placed around the neck-yoke, in such a manner as to secure the ears to the saine.

l Having thus fully described my invention,

` What I claim as new, and desire tol'secure by Let- In neck-yokes having leather holdbacks, the clasp C C, made either in one or two pieces, and secured'to the yoke, 'substantially in the manner and for the purposes herein set forth.
