Referring to t e drawings in which-similar characters refer'to similar arts in the di'fi'erent views, the letters E 12X Y indicate one wall of the trunk that is hinged along its edge E F so as to be capable of being turned outward to rest upon the re= in and out of the open side t-piainder of the same wall and thereby form support or desk for the instrument, such as the typewriter indicated. The letters C--FPN and P indicate a rectan ular box or drawer that is preferably divi. ed by artitions into pigeon holes, as indicated, ant has hinged along one edge thereof, as the edge N-P, a door or cover N-P-56. This door is adapted to close over one side of the drawer and retain the papers or other articles within the igeon holes. The saidv drawer O-FN is provided with suitable guides so that the same may slide easily trunk. The cover of the trunk may be provided with the usual straps 1, 2, 3, 4, for holding clothing in position, and may also be provided with additional drawers for clothing, etc, as indicated.
The typewriter may be turned 90 from the position shown in Fig. l so that the keyboard is toward the edge X--Y, \vherebythe operator may face the machine and the pi eon holes at the same time.
