IMPROVED RAILWAY HOSE-PROTECTOR.
The Schedule referred to in these Letters Patent and making part of the sarne.
To whom @t may concern:
Beit known that I, JOHN H. BELLAMY, of Gharles town, in the county of Middlesex, and State of Massachusetts, have invented a new and improved Gar- Bridge and Hose-Protector; and I hereby declare that the following is a full and exact description thereof.
My invention consists of a bridge or arch so constructed that it can be` securely fastened to a railroad track, and allow lire and other hose to pass beneath it, upon the track, in such a manner as to allow the passage ot' cars over the bridge without injury to the hose.

The upper surface ofthe bridge is constructed in the form of a tram-wa i', having a ilange, G, on the outer edge. F represents the opening in the bridge. B represents the front View of the clamp, and C, the screwbolt, while O G represent the nut, by means of which the bolt secures the clamps, together with the bridge, to the track. B B represent side view of the clamps, O C, the front View of the nut, and C O G, the side view of the nut, holding the bolt.
The clamps are made in a curved form, at one end sufficiently thin to admit of their being driven down alongside ofthe track into the ground, the inside curvation touching thetrack, and hugging it firmly.
The slot E, in the clamp, allows the clamp to be driven down into the ground, with the bolt placed through Witnesses:
