My device consists essentially of clips secured to the vertical plates at their upper front corners, a back iran'ie,'straps having hooks engaging the clips on the. front .plate and extending between the upper edge of the end plates and the top late, and with their iear ends secured to t 1e back fran'ie, and clamps adapted to engage the clips and hooks to secure them to each. other, said clamps also being provided with upwardly projecting members to engage and hold the too plate in place, and by which the clamp is he d in place, and in various features of combination and arrangement, as will more fully appear by reference to the accompanying drawings, in which:
of a pair oi clips; Fig. 7. a perspective detail of the,,clamn; Fig. 8. a perspective detail of the clip ano ciainos assembled and viewed from the under side; and, Fig. a perspective detail of the iastenings at the rear cor- Like numbers refer to like parts in all of the figures.

case; 2 representsthe end plate of the case; 3 the front plate of the same; and 4 the top plate (these plates preferably of heayyplat'e, glass) 7 and 8 represent metallic clips pref erably'formed of sheet metal, which respectively embrace the adjacent upper corners of at 9 to receive a hook 15 on the end of astrap 5, and lugs 16 on the clamp. 10. This strap extends horizontally rearward upon the upper edge of the plate 2 and at its rear endis secured to the frame 1 in any convenient manner, preferably by screws inserted therein. Said strap securely holds thefront plate 3 in place against the forward edge of the end plate 2. To further secure the end plates in place the edge of the-plate is inserted in a groove in the hack 1 and a clip 18 is secured to the rear upper corner of the late and provided with a projection 20 em edded in the back 1 and secured therein by a screw. To further secure the/plates'at the front u per corners, a clamp 10 preferably made of s set metal is so formed as to cover the outer surface of the clips 7 and 8, and the hook 15 of the stra 5. This clamp is provided at each end .wit 1 inwardly turned edges 11 forming dovetail grooves to receive the vertical edges of the outer members of the clips 7 and 8 and thus hold the same securely connected together with the hook 15 The clip8 also has lugs 17 struck up to engage the cli 7 and hold the same securely against the 0 amp.
To secure the top plate 4 in place, I provide upwardly projecting hooks 12 and 13 extending outward and upward to engage the ed es of the plate 4, one or both of which hooks eing alsoextended inward above the These plate 4 to hold the same down irfplace, and
also to hold the clip 10 from sliding downward, and the clip is held from moving upward by inwardly projecting lugs 16 engaging the recesses 9 in the under edges of the clips 7 and 8. On the end frame 1 also provide a corner plate 14. having a hook 19 and a projection 21 to engage the plate 4, which plate is slid to place from the rear forward beneath the hooks 13, and the corner plates 14 secured in place by screws, when the structure will be sccurel y locked thereby, and all the plates held in place by these fastening means. To cushion the plate 4 and also to form tight joints, a strip of felt or other elastic material 6 is preferably placed be-' back, a front plate,- and. an end plate; a clip attached to the corner of the front plate, and
a strap secured to the back at one end and having la hook on the other end extending over t e front of the clip and engaging the lower edge of the same.
2. In a show case, in combination with a back, a front plate and an end plate; clips secured to the adjacent corners of the plates, a strap having a hook at one-end engaging the clip on the front plate and secured to the back at the other end, and a clamp embracing v the cli s and hook.
3. n a show case, in combination with a back, an end plate, a front plate, and a top plate; clips attached to the-adjacent corners of the end and front plate, a strap having a hook at one end engaging the clip on the front plate, said straps extending along theupper edge of the end plate and secured to the back at the other end, a clamp endbracing the clips and hook and having inwardly turned ends engaging the ends of the outer members of the clips, and upwardly rojecting hooks on the clamp to engage tlie edge and top of the top plate.
4. In a show case, in combination with a back, an end plate, a front plate and a top plate; clips secured to the respective adjacent corners of the end plate and front plate,a strap having a hook at one end engaging the 1 front and bottom of the clip on the front l plate, said strap also extending along the upper edge of the end plate and attached to 5 ing the clips and hook and having inwardly turned ends engaging the ends of the outer members of the clips, upwardly projecting hooks on the clamp to engage the front and endedges of the top plate, one of said hooks also being extended inward above the top p ate.
5. In a showcase, the combination of a back frame having a groove, an end plate inserted in the groove, a clip attached to the end plate and having a projection secured to the frame a front plate and a top plate, clips attached the front upper corners of the respective end and front plates, a strip having front plate /and extending alongthe u per edgeof the end plate and. secured to the ack at the other end, a clamp embracing the clips on. the end and frontplate and having inwardly turned ends forming grooves. to receive the ends of the outer members of the said clips, lugs on the clamp and engaging the under edges of the clips, and hooks on the clam said hooks engaging the edge of the top plate.
In testimony whereof I alfiir my signature in presence of two witnesses.
