Description

PATENTED 1330510, 1907. R. HEINB. COMBINED FOB ANDPURSB. APPLIOATION FILED FEB. 20, 1907.
THE NORRIS PETERS co., WASHINGTON. n. c.
' RICHARD HEINE, OF NEW YORK, N. Y.
COMBINED FOB AND PURSE.
Specification of Letters Patent.
Patented Dec. 10, 1907.
Application filed. February 20,1907. Serial No. 358.466.
To all whom it may concern:
Be it known that I, RICHARD HEINE, a citizen of the United States, residing in New York, in the borough of Brooklyn, county of Kings, and State of New York, have invented certain new and useful Improvements in Combined Fobs and Purses, of which the following is a specification.
This invention relates to a combined fob and purse, and the object of the invention is to combine these devices in an improved manner.
With this end in view, the invention consists in the novel features of construction to be hereinafter described and claimed.
In the accompanying drawings, Figures 1 and'2 represent front views of my improved fob and purse combined, of which Fig. 1 shows the same in closed position, and Fig. 2 in open position ready for removing coins, ipd Fig. 3 is an enlarged section on line 3, 3,
Similar letters of reference indicate corresponding parts throughout the several figures.
Referringto the drawings, a denotes the strap which forms the main-portion of the combined fob and purse, said strap being doubled and having a relatively long rearortion a and a short front-portion a The oWer end of the rear-portion a is enlarged, as shown in Figs. 1 and 2, to form the rearwall of a pocket e which is applied to the front-face of said enlarged portlon and forms the body of the purse.
The pocket e is closed by means of a cover or flap f which has an extension in the form of a strap b which extends upwardly from the upper part of the flap. The upper end of the strap b whichmight be termed the frontstra is connected to the bar or bridge of a buc 1e 7) by which connection is made with the lower end of the upper front-portion a of the doubled strap. For this purpose said end of the portion a is provided with an o ening for the tongue of the buckle, as s lown'. The front-strap b is connected. with the rear-portion a of the doubled strap by means of stitches f these stitches being arranged between the cover and the buckle.
The pocket 6 is made with expansible gussets so as to permit a number of coins to be carried in the pocket for carfare and the like. The cover or front-flap f of the purse is connected by a well-known fastener g, g with the front-wall of the pocket so as to safely hold the coins in the pocket of the purse.
A suspension device 01 for the fob is applied to the upper end of the doubled strap.
The combined fob and purse can also be used by gentlemen by attaching the suspension-device to the watch-ring. It forms a novelty in leather goods which, besides having an ornamental and attractive appearance, forms a convenient means for carrying small change.
Having thus described my invention, I claim as new and desire to secure by Letters Patent:
In a combined fob and purse, the combination of a doubled strap having a long rearportion and a short front-portion, a pocket formed at the lower end of said rear-portion, a covering-flap for said pocket, a front-strap extending from said covering-flap at its upper portion, means for securing said frontstrap to the rear-portion of the doubled strap, and a buckle connecting the up er end of said front-strap with the lower en of the front-portion of the doubled strap.
In testimony, that I claim the foregoing as my invention, I have signed my name in presence of two subscribing witnesses.
RICHARD IIEINE.
