IMPROVED BELT-CLASP.
The Schedule referred to iu these Letters Patent and making part of the lame.
To all whom it may concern: l
Be it known that I, C.- TOWNs, of Cleveland, in, the oount'y of Cuyahoga, and State of Ohio, have invented certain new and useful Improvements in Belt-Glasps; and I do hereby declare that the following is a full and complete description ofthe same, reference being had to the accompanying drawings, making a part 0f this specification, in which- Figure 1 is a view of the clasp in the belt.
Figure 2 is a view of the opposite side of fig. 1.

Like letters of reference referto like parts in the V In each end of the belt are out holes corresponding to the arms C.
The clasp is then placed over the ends of the belt, l'
and the arms C passed through these holes, and then bent or turned down on to the other side of the belt, as shown in fig. 2, thus clasping and holding the two ends of the belt. l
It is intended practically to form points on the ends of the arms of the clasp, as shown in lig.- 3, and when they are bent down on the belt, the points will be pressed into it, and thus more securely and firmly hold the belt.
This clasp can be made the width of the belt, if de.
sired, and can be applied to any kind of belting, and for any other purpose, in uniting helting where it is sewed in the ordinary way. y
What I claim as my improvement, and desire to sec-ure by Letters Patent, is'- The herein-described clasp or plate B, provided with' arms G, when constructed in the manner as and for the purpose set forth.
