Referring to the drawings, the squib box comprises a body portion formed of the sections 1, 2, which are soldered together, as at 3. A bottom 5 is provided to close one end of the body portion. The other end of the body portion is adapted to be closed by a removable cover 6.

This invention relates to squib boxes for miners use; and the object thereof is to set up the box in a manner as hereinafter set forth whereby a reinforced longitudinally-extending and centrally disposed partition will Each of the sections 1, 2 consists of a strip of metallic material bent as at 9, 10 so that the inner ends of the longitudinal sides of the strip will overlap, the portion 10 overlapping the portion 9. The portion 10 of the section 2 is adapted to interlock between the portions 10 and 9 of section 1 and the portion 10 of section 1 is adapted to interlock between the portions 9 and 10 of the section 2. By such an arrangement a centrally disposed longitu(finally-extending reinforced partition 11 is provided, which is formed of four thicknesses of material. The interlocking portions of the sections 1, 2 are soldered together, as at 3 and also as at 12. The partition'll also forms a dividing wall for the body portion so as to form the compartments 7, 8.
It will be evident that owing to the manner in which the sections 1, 2 are interlocked and secured together, that a reinforced partition is provided which will prevent collapsing of the body portion and in view of such circumstances an unusually durable squib box is provided.
What I claim is When the operator has the box in his pocket and leans up against anything, or for other causes which might arise while using the box, said partition providing the box with a pair of compartments for squibs or for squibs and matches.
The invention further aims to provide a squib box which shall be extremely simple in its construction, strong, durable, eflicient in its use, damp-proof, easily manufactured and inexpensive.
