Be it known that 1, NALTER. J. ldnqivs, a citizen or the [Allied Statesand a resident of the city of blew York, borough of Brooklyn, 1

in the county oi Kings and State of how York, have invented a new and Improved Combined Sink, Bath, and Wash Tub, of which the following is a full, clear, and exact description.

The purpose of the invention is to provide a structure especially adapted for use in asmall tlat, tenement, or apartment house" where there is little available room for necessary single plumbing and wherein in a single article will be combined a sink, a bath, and a wash tub, each adaptation being as perfect and as convenient for use as a series of equivalent independent devices.

It is also a purpose of the invention to construct. an article of the character described which will be not only simple, durable, and economic, but wherein the. device may be readily set up, will be water-tight, and will be capable of being conveniently and expeditiously converted from one form into another for the desired use.

A further purpose of the invention is to improve upon the construction set forth in the Letters Patent granted to me September 10, 1901, No. BS2352, to the extent that the tub is rendered adaptable a bath or a wash tub. the partition therein having awatertight pit, and yet is capable or being swung .to one side and secured, rendering the tub in one compartment without interfering with the faucets, and, further, wherein the smk cannot be removed li'oin the tub-without first removing the faucets supplying it, and

wherein also should any water remain in the sink when it is carried up from the tub tonneover the same said water .will be unfailingly directed to the tub, thus effectively preventing the surroundings of the tub becoming wet from such a cause.

The invention consists in the novel construction and combinationfoi' the several parts, as will be hereinafter fully set forth, and pointed out in the claims.

Having thus described my invention, I claim as new and desire- .to secure by Letters E 1. The combination of a tub, a splash- :1 board above the tub and provided with a forwardly-extending portion projecting over i the side of the tub and provided at its front edge with a depending lip, a hinged. sink provided at its rear edge with an upwardly-pro: jeoting rib or lip back of the depending front flange of the forwardly-projecting portion of the splash-board and guard devices extending between the tub and the splash-board in rear of said' overlapping flanges, substantially as set forth.

2. In combination tubs, a tub, a sink serving as a full or partial covering therefor, a splash board secured at the rear of the sink, and provided at its lower end with a forwardly-projecting portion extending over said tub and provided with a donmwardlyextending hp at its forward longitudinal edge, said sink being provided with a marginal flange the rear section of which has an upwardly-extending longitudinal lip adapted for engagement back of the lip on the bottom of the splash board when the sink is in hori Zontal position, and a hinge connection between the bottom of the splash-boardand the connection being in advance of the engaging lips.

In combination-tubs, a tub, a sink serv- E ing as a full or a partial covering therefor, a i splash-board secured at the rear of the sink the bottom of which splash-board has a for-- ward and downward inclination and. extends i over said tub and is provided with downwardly-extending lip at its forward longitudinal edge, said sink being provided nith a marginal flange the rear section of which has I an upwardly-extending longitudinal lip 5 adapted for engagement back of the lip on the bottom of the splash-board when the sink is in horizontal position, a hinge connection between the bottom of the splash-board and the rear section of the sink-flange, said hinge being in advance of the engaging lips and the said sink being provided wit-h a longitudinal pocket in the inner face of the rear portion of its body, and an apron in rear of said engaging lips and depending from the under face of the bottom of the splash-boanl along the inner face of the rear portion of the tub.

The combination with a tub, a splashboard fixed at the rear upper portion of the tub, having a bottom which inclines downwardly and forwardly and extends over said tub, said splash-board bottom being provided with forwardly-extending horizontal hooks, faucets the supply-pipes whereof pass through the bottom of the splaslnbdrrd, a apron secured to the bottom of the splash board, extending down to an engagement with the inner upper face of the tub, a flanged sink adapted to constitute a partizn or a complete cover for the tub, and trunnions carried by the rear flanged section of said sink. which trunnions enter the said hooks, constituting a hinged connection between the sink and the bottom of the splash-board, the entrance openings to the hooks being so far to the rear that said sink cannot be disconnected from the bottom of the splash-board while the faucets remain over the same.

5. The combination with asplaslnboard provided with forwardly-extending hooks. and faucets in front of said splash-board, of a sink having trunnions entering the said hooks and constituting a hinge connection between the sink and splash-board, the entrance-openings to the hooks being so far to 1 the rear that said sink cannot be disconnected from the bottom oft-he splash-board while the faucets remain over the same, substantially as set forth. i
