This invention relates; to. certa-in.y new and.

useful improvements in bath tub cabillfts.

The primary object of the invention is the provision of a cabinet of general utility especially adapted for employment in a small bedroom and accommodating a bath tub therein for ready use when desired without the necessity of having a bathroom.

A further object of the device is the provision of a bedroom cabinet or washstand adapted to removably hold a bath tub normally concealed therein and readily positionable for immediate use when desired.

A still further object of the device is to provide a cabinet that is easy and inexpensive to manufacture but which possesses great strength, the same being adapted for housing a bath tub automatically removed therefrom upon opening the cabinet and readily positioned therein when not in use.

Referring more in detail to the drawing, the cabinet 10 is provided having the general form of a washstand with a sliding drawer 11, a table top 12 and a back 13. A compartment 14 is arranged 1n the lower part of the cabinet having track rails 15 transversely positioned upon the bottom 16 of the cabinet formed with projecting ends 17 at the forward open side of the cabinet. An approach or board 18 is arranged for the front opening of the cabinet having slots 19 for accommodating 'the rail ends 1 when the approach is closed as best illustrated in Fig. 2 of the drawing, the said approach being. hingedjby ,means of'. a r0d20 carred'by the Cabinet bottoni 1.6;,

rails 15 of the approach 18 when the latter is open. A plurality of springs 26 are secured within cups 27 upon the rear wall 28 of the cabinet within'the compartment 14 for bearing against the adjacent side of the tub 24, with said springs compressed against the tub when the approach 18 is closed as well as the doors 21.

A suitable pipe connection 29 isarranged for the tub 24 for supplying water thereto and it will be apparent that with the device normally positioned as shown in Fig. 2 of the drawing, the doors 21 can be opened permitting the approach 19 to be swung downwardly in contact with the fioor 30 while the springs 26 will forwardly impel the tub 24 upon the track 15-15, until the tub travels down the approach 18 to a point upon the floor 30 where the same may be readily used with the water supplied from the pipe 29. The tub 24 is again repositioned in the compartment 14 when desired and the approach 18 moved upwardly permitting the doors 21 to be closed and locked. A serviceable cabinet is arranged which may be readily employed for furnishing a bath tub 24 in compact arrangement, automatically positioned upon the floor for use by opening the doors of the cabinet. It will be seen that by reason of the slots 19 of the approach 18 and the extensions 17 .of the tracks 15 that there is only an immaterial gap between the adja.- cent ends of the track sections when the device is open for use.

What I claim as new is 1.
