IMPROVEMENT IN PAPER-'Finns The Schedule referred to in these Letters Patent and 'making part of the To all whom fit may concern Be it known that I, E. H. GRArcrn,A of Brooklyn, in the county of Kings, and State of New York, have invented a new and improved Paper-File and I dol hereby declare that the following is a -full, clear, and exact description thereof, which will enablethose skilled in the art to make and use the same, reference being had to the accompanying drawing, forming part of this speciiication, in which- Figure l is a sectional view of my invention, showing the manner of using it on a desk or table.

rlhe object of this invention is to provide a simple and eective paper-file, which combines the advantageous features of a weight and hook, or wire point.
It consists,in general terms, of a plate, A,'bearing a vpointed wire, a, for penetrating the papers to befled,
in combination with aweight, O, having one or more -holes in it for the reception of the said wire, a, so that the weight may rest on the papers, and be retained in place thereon by the wire.
The base-plate may consist of any at plate, as the part A, but an additional advantage is obtained by forming the base,`A,with an extension, B, which forms an obtuse angle with the base-plate,l as shown. I claim as new, and desire to secure by Letters Patentl 1. The combination of a base-plate, A, having an upright pin or .pointed wire, a, with a Weight, O,- having one or more holes, b, the whole constituting a paper-file, substantially as and for the purpose herein shown and described, as a new article of manufacture.
2. The angular base-plate A B, having a pin or `pointed wire, a, in' combination with a" weight, C, having one or more holes, b, the whole constituting a paperle substantially as'and for the purpose herein? shown and described, as a new article of manufacture.
