. Be a known that We, WILLIAM Ii 'AL- Bnnon'r and SANDFIELD A. GHENT, citizens of the United States, residing at Chicago, in the county of Cook and State of Illinois, have invented a new and useful Memorial Album, of which the following is a specification.`
- This invention relates to memorial albums, and has for its' obj ect to provide a comparatively simple and inexpensive device of the class described especially designed for use as an 'advertising rmedium by undertakers,
funeral. directors, and similar persons, and adapted to be used as a memorial for preserving various data descriptive of deceased persons.
A further object of the invention is to pror vide an album having its cover formed with a ypocket for the reception of a photograph and its leaves ruled and printed in such a mannerA as to facilitate thev recordation of any particular fact or facts relative to the person whose photographis contained l.within the pocket.`
With these and other objects in view the invention consists in the construction and novel combination and arrangement of parts hereinafter fully described, and illustrated in the accompanying drawings, it being under# stood that various changes in form, proporbe resorted to within the scope of the appended claim.
In the accompanying drawings, forming a part of this specification, Figure 1 is a front elevation of the album, showing thel same open. Fig. 2 is a similarview displaying the intermediate leaves. Fig'. 3 is afront elevation of the rear leaf of the book. Fig. 4 is a front ele'vation'of the album closed.

The improved device is principally designed as a memorial for preserving an accurate record of' various data relative to deceased persons and in its preferred embodi- The corners ofthe cover at one end thereof 'are provided with diagonal slits 7, forming marginal flaps 8, the ends of which are cut on curved lines, as indicated at 9, and folded downwardly upon the adjacent portion of the cover to produce a pocket having an elliptical-shaped opening 10 formed therein for displaying a photograph 12. The mouth 13 of the pocket is preferably disposed parallel withthe adjacent longitudinal edges of the leaves 6, sofas to facilitate the introduction vand removal of the photograph 12 and also to prevent accidental displacement of said photograph.
