Be it; known th-at I, W. H. H. BABBITT, of New Oorner, in the county 0f Delaware, and Stute of Indi-- zum, have. invented a. new and useful Improvement in Gaiter-Buots; und I du hereby decla.re that tl1e following is a. full, clea-r, und exac-t descripnion thereof, which will enable tllose skilled in the art tomake and use i.ha same, reference being l1ad t.o the accompany ing drawings, forming palt ofthis specification.
'lhis invention rela.tes 130 an improvement in gaiterboons, und is confined to 13l1e fastening 0f the gaiter around the ankle, aud 150 the parts conne'cted therewith, whereby the. fastenin'g is remlered durable, and the ankle is properly snpported.

It will be seentha by this method 0f forming a'.nd fastening the ga.iter 110 shirred 01 elastio cloth 01 material is necessary, tha.t eyelet-s and lacings are dispensed With, und that the leg of the gaiter is as impervious t0 water as its foot.
