TO ALL WHOM IT MAY CONCERN:

Be it'known that I, ALBERT LYAiAN, of the city of lr0y, in the county of Rensselaeryand Stateof New York, have invented a new and useful Mode of Constructing Reservoirs for Heating and Retaining Water upon Stoves; and I do hereby declare that the following is afull, clear, and exact description thereof.

To enable others to make and use my invention, I make. the following description fl-Ild specification.

My invention consists of an ordinaiy size and form of water-reservoir, for domestic purposes, to be used upon a cooking-stove, for heating or keeping watcr hot without the use ofextm fuel. It is-so constructed in the parts as to be readily put together and be cheaply made. It can be taken oh the stove or placed on, at

pleasure. The covers and reservoir being unattached, freeaccess can be had by remova for lining or cleanmg, and, when in place, furnish a complete cover, with access to the water from either side of the stove. It furnishes a long-desired article, one that can be cheaply cast, readily enamelled, and with facilities of entire removal ef covers, if wanted for any purpose, and so important in cheap and complete manufacturing. This is so constructed that it may be set into an aperture, or placed upon the top of the stove, as desired I construct my reservoir of any convenient and economical metal, and in form to better suit the place or please the eye, retaining a nearly straight line upon the sides. The upper edge of the reservoir has a shoulder or projection with a perpendicularflange. Upon the flange rests and slides one or the upper cover, and on the shoulder slides the under cover, with the same so arranged that the covers slide either way, and, when in place, form a complete and tight cover. At the same time the whole cover can be lifted off or placed on, at pleasure, being desirable points in the manufacture and use, and represented in its parts by the lettei's marked thereon.

What I claim, isw i A metallic reservoir, constructed in the manner described,rih combination with sliding covers, all arranged and for the purposes substantially as set forth.
