IMPROVE-n Boor-ommen.
TO ALL WHOM IT MAY CONCERN:
Beit known that we, F. L. KATHAN and E. D. RUMMER, of the town of Roscoe, county of Winnebago, and State of Illinois, have invented a nemend usefully improved Boot-Crimp and we do hereby declare that the following is a full, clear, and exact description, ofthe construction andoperation ofthe same, reference being had to the annexed drawings, making a part of this specification. s The advantages of this invention arel. |The leather is not cnt with tacks, which are required, in the old process, to hold it fast.
2. The use of a hammer is dispensed with, which saves the leather from still further injury.
3. The wrinkles are always drewn'out, and the leather does not full up on the instep.
4. The leather is ready for use in two minutes, while, by the old process, three hours are sometilncsreqilrcll to so prepare it. l
What we claim as our invention, and desire to secure by Letters Patent, is-
The combination of the hinged crimp A. A A, block and screw D, with the gripes C CO, when arranged, constructed, and operating as herenidescrihed, and for the purposes as set forth, as an article of manufacture.
