Be it known that I, J. N. BURTON, of Senoiaih the county of Coweta, and State of Georgia, have invented a new and improved Hat-Buckle; and I do hereby declare that the followingis a. full, clear, and exact descrip tion thereof, `which will enable those skilled in the art to make and use the same, reference being had to the accompanying drawings, forming partl'of this. specification.

`This invention relates to a new buckle for hat-bands, and its object is to so arrange the said buckle that railroad or other tickets can be firmly held by the same, and can, whenever desi-red, be easily removed therefrom.
The invention consists Ain securing one end. of a spring to a. buckle, the free end of the spring pressing against the buckle,'so that when a. ticket is inserted between the free end of the spring and the buckle it will be firmly held on the same, and cannot be spontaneously dischargedfrom the saine. But whenever it is desired,` the ticket can be easily drawn ont from the holder. l

Having thus described my invention, I claim as new, anfd desire to secure by Letters Patent- As a new article of manufacture, a ticket-holding attachment for hats, consisting 'of the buckle A, carrying the spring C, all made and operating substantially as herein shown and described.
