To all whom' 'it muy concern Be it known that I, LORENZO Dow CowLEs, of Romeo, in the county of Macomb and State of Michiigan, have invented certain new and useful Improyements in Buckles or Clasps; and do hereby declare` that the following is a full, clear, and exact description thereof, reference being had to the accompanying drawingv and to the letters of reference marked thereon, making a part 'of this speci'cat-ion.

The nature oi' my' invention consists in the con l struction and arrangement of a buckle or clasp, as

will be hereinafter full1 set forth.

A represents a bar'of suitable dimensions, towhich the strap B is secured,-as shown.

The bar A,although it may be rectangular, is made round, and provided at each end with a square hook, a.
