SKID.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Letters Patent No. 750,446, dated January 26, 1904.
Application filed October 8, 1903.
To all whom it may concern:
Be it known that I, JOHN P. FRANK, a citizen of the United States, residing at Danville, in the county of Boyle and State of Kentucky, have invented certain new and useful Improvements in Skids; and I do hereby declare the following to be a full, clear, and exact description of the invention, such as will enable others skilled in the art to which it appertains to make and use the same.
. This invention relates to skids for moving boxes, barrels, and other objects in stores, warehouses, and other places; and it consists. in the novel construction and combination of the parts hereinafter fully described and claimed;
In the drawings, Figure 1 is a side view of the skid. Fig. 2 is a plan view of the skid.
The skid is formed of two metallic runners A A, arranged parallel with each other for their full length where they bear upon the floor in their normal position, and cross-pieces B secured at intervals between the two runners. The front ends O of the runners are curved upward, so that they may slide easily over slight projections on the 'floor. The rear end portions D of the runners are curved and pointed, and they are also curved outwardly, as shown in Fig. 2, so that the pointed ends of Serial No. 176,194. (No model.)
portions at one end, of cross-bars which hold the main portions of the runners parallel with each other.
2. In a skid, the combination, with two runners having upwardly-curved front ends and curved and pointed rear end portions which are also curved outwardly, of crossbars which hold the main portions of the said runners parallel with each other.
In testimony whereof I aflix my signature in presence of two witnesses.
