PATENT OFFICE.
CURTAIN-SUPPORT.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Letters Patent No. 738,287, dated September 8, 1903. Application filed December 6, 1902. Serial No- 134,055. (No model.)
2'0 all whom it may concern:
Be it known that I, MARY ENGLE BROWN,
a citizen of the United States, residing at 7 047 Hamilton avenue, Pittsburg, in the county of 5 Allegheny and State of Pennsylvania, have invented a new and useful Curtain-Support, of which the following is a specification.
My invention relates to a curtain-support in which the curtain is supported by being hung over a number of suitably -arrangcd points or pins.
The object of my invention is to provide a curtain-support without the use of the ordinary rings and pins.
I obtain the object of my invention by the method illustrated in the accompanying drawings, in which Figure 1 is the elevation of the complete support, and Fig. 2 a cross-section taken through 20 the center.
Similar letters refer to similar parts throughout both views.
The bracket 13 constitutes the support of the pole A and the clamping-bar O and is so 25 made in respect to the shape of the pole A that the pole cannot rotate within its support.
In the pole A are placed a number of projecting points or pins D, over which is hung the curtain, which may then be clamped in position by the bar C.
NVhat I claim as my invention, and desire to secure by Letters Patent, is-
A curtain-support comprising the combination of brackets in which the curtain-pole is held from rotation on its axis, supplementary arms on said brackets, said curtain-pole, pins on said curtainpole adapted to be inserted in thematerial of a curtain, a supplementary imperforate bar adapted to be held in the supplementary arms on the bracket and clamp the material of a curtain against a side of the I curtain-pole notprovided with pins.
In testimony whereof I have signed my name to this specification in the presence of two subscribing witnesses.
MARY ENGLE BROIVN.
