Beit known that I, MARGAEETTE STORM- FELS, a citizen of the United States of Amer ica, residing `at Allegheny, in the county of tion.
`provide an envelop-blank that will beex tremely, simplein its construction, strong, durable, and comparatively inexpensive to manufacture.; furthermore, to provide au envelop of the above-described character that will be extremely simple indits construction when closed and that willl permit the same to be easily opened. .I I y The invention further telltale marks that maybe easily discovered. With the. above andother objectsv inview the invention consists in the novel construction, combination, and arrangement of parts to be hereinafter more particularly described, and specifically pointed out in the claim.

In the drawings the -body portion 1 of the envelop carries side flaps2 and' 3, and the lower i-ap 4'is also a portion of the body por- The securing-flap 5 extends upwardly from the-bodyportion andhas slits 6 formed therein, which extend through the upper edge Aof the securing-nap. The rear face of the iiap 4 is gummed, as indicated at '7, and the Y aims to provide;anl `envelop that when tampered with will leave front face of the side flap 3 is also gummed, as shown at 8. The outer face of the slits is also gummed, as indicated at 9.
1 The manner of folding my improvedenvelop is as follows: The l'lap 4 is folded upward and the letter or papers inserted. Then the iiap 2 is folded over the flap 4, engaging the'gummed edge 7. Th'e flap 3 is then folded over, the gummed edge 8 engaging the iiap.
The securing-flap is then secured in position, and the envelop is securely sealed.
`It will be noted that various changes may be made in the details of construction of my improved envelop without departing from the ge'neral spirit of my invention.
`Having fully described my invention, what I claim as new, and desire-to secure by Letters Patent, is- I.
