These radial groups 01 strainers are like the ribs of an umbrella, so that the device ean easily be introdueed into the nozzle or spo1it by pushing it in from 1Jhe outer end, the fiexibilty of ehe wires 01 equivalent unembe1s allowing them t0 yield, so as 120 pass through the smaller part 0f the nozzle and 130 expand as they pass down until they arrive ab their proper positions.

The angle of the radial wires is such that the outer ends pressing against the inside of the spout prevent its falling out; but it ean be at2 any time withdrawn, because the spout being smooth the wires will yield and Slip within it for this purpose, so that it ean be readily eleansed at1 any time.

Having thus deseribed rny invention, What I claim, and desire to protect by Letters Patent, is-

l. A strainer for teapots and the like adapted to fitthe nozzles theneof, comprising ra dially-disposed bristles 01 wire and a twisted Wi1e center.

. 2. A strainer f01 teapots and the like adapted 120 fit the nozzles thereof, consieting of a eentral flexible support and groups 0f radiallydisposed filaments eonnected at intervals t0 said support.

3. The combination in astrainer for teapots and the like of a flexible twisted wire, groups of elastic wires 01' bristles twisted int0 said center and radiating therefromat intervals, the ends of each group extending ontward and forming contact with the interior of the spout o1 nozzle.
