TO Wl-IOM IT MAY CONCERN':
Be it known that I, WILLIAM A. GRIFFETH, of Boston, in the county of Suffolk, and State of Massachusetts, have invented a new and improved Mosquito-Net Frame for a bedstead; and I hereby declare that. the following is a full and exact description thereof, reference being had to the accompanying drawings.
My invention consists of mosquitomet frame for a bedsteadfso constructed `as to be adjustable, and also removable from the bedstead; and represented in the drawings as follows:
Figure 1 Shows the frame as applied to the bedstead, and adjusted so that the net may cover the bedstead.
Figure 2 shows the frame adjusted so as to raise the net from the bedstead.
Figure 3 shows a View of the frame from the back side of the head of the bedstead, adjusted to raise the net from the bedstead.
Figure 4 shows the frame detached from the beds'tcad.
'lhe frame consists of two pieces of round wire, and B, bent, as shown in iig. 3, en e of which is inserted in the hinge (as iig. 4) C, at one end; the other inserted in the socket (fig. 4) D, and both being removable from the hinge and socket. The hinge is constructcd with an upper and lower shoulder, which allow it to he operated or opened only backward or forward to given angles or distances. Upon one end of the hinge C is formed a screen, E, which is designed to pass through the head post of the bedstead, and fastened witha nut, F, lig. 3. The frame A is thrown forward, as in fig. 1, or backward to given angles, as in fig. .2, Vaccording to the operation of the hinge C. The frame of wire A, attached to the hinge C, is applied, as above described, to the front side of the head-post, and theframe of wire B, attached to socket D, is applied to the back s'ide'of the headboard of the bedstead.
What I claim as my inventio and desire to secure by Letters Patent, is
The arrangement and combination of the hinge and wire fra-me in connection with the wire frame held by the socket as applied to a bcdstead Substantially as described.
WILLIAM A. GRIFFETH.
