'T0 ALL WHOM IT MAY CONCERN:
Be it known that I, SAMUEL RICHARDS, of- Philadelphin, State of Pennsylvanie, have invented a new and useful improvement in Snow-Ploughs, und I do hereby declare the following to be n full and exact description thereof, reference beinghad to the annexed drawings, making a part of this specification, in which- Figure 1 is :t horizontal section of my improvement.

Figure 3 is n. perspective view of the same.
The present invention is en improvement on my former plough, and consists in constructing an inclined plane, A A open at the sides, of a. length of about twenty to thirty i'eet, mounted upon two sets of' swivelling trucks, es heretofore patented by me, and placing thereon a. bridge-piece, B, the pivot thereof being located high enough to be above the level ot' the surrounding` snow, sny about eight feet above the truck. At the lower extremity of this movable wedge is en auxiliary hinged f inp, c, attached to the point ofsuid wedge and moving with it, and so that it een be turned about the hinge f, by which it is pivoted to the point of the wedge.
