Bc it known that I, ABAD BARROWS, of the city and county of Philadelphia, and State of Pennsylvania, have invented a new Design for Cast Sad-IronHandles; and I do hereby declare that the following is a full and exact description thereof, reference being had to the accompanying drawings, making part of this specicationl Figure 1 being a side view of a sad-iron with my improved design for the handle.

Like letters designate'corresponding parts in all of the figures.

The outline or profile ofthe handle A consists ofthe straight horizontal portion m, fig. 1, which is grasped by the hand, and the two upright portions n ln., which have each a double curve, ogee, or concave and convex, the handle thickening from top to base, all substantially as represented in fig. 1. rPhe configuration ofthe handle, extending its entire length, consists of outer and inner convex mouldings a a, and side convex mouldings b b, these four mouldings being connected by concave mouldings c c c c, all substantially as represented.

What I claim as my invention, and desire to secure by Letters Patent, is-

The outline and configuration constituting a design for a cast sad-iron handle, as herein represented and described.

The above specification of my new and original design for sad-iron handles signed by me, this 25th day of July, 1867.
