Be ity known that I, ,JIIN S. HUNTER, of Hartford, in the county of Hartford, and State of Connecticut, have invented :t new improvement in Mosquito-Bar; and I do hereby declare the following, when `taken in conneetion with the accompanying drawings ind the letters of' reference marked thereon, to be a full, clear, and exact description of the same, :uidwhich said drawings constitute part of this specilicttionfend represent, in-

This invention consists in the arrangement of several hows ndjustztbly attached to the bedstead'so es to be extended, und close the bnr or open and contract the bar; and in orderto the better understanding of my invention, as well :is to enztble others to construct the same, I will proceed to :t description, as illustrated in the accompanying drawings. Y

A are the sides of a bedstead of common coxlstruction. B B B are three bows (may be more or less in number) curved so ns to extend over the bedstead, and all pivoted together :it each end in u. socket, C, which said socket is formed so us 'to set on over the edge of the bedstead sides A, and be secured thereto by means of n set-screw, or otherwise, so as to be readily removed .or adjusted to different positions on the side as occasion may require. If preferred the bows may be made so as tov fold for the convenience of transportation. The bows I prefer to make freni light metallic or wood rods, und extending upward so :is to give sufficient height above the pillows for the comfort of the occupant. Over the several bows BA1 place a netting of any suitable material, leaving so inueh to project over the front bow as will full down upon and conform to :my unevenness of Vthe bed. When not required for use, the bows are easily detached from the bedstead or applied thereto when required, and ure opened, as in iig. 3, or closed, as in fig. 1, by simplyreising or lowering the bows.

Having thus fully deseribedemy invention, what l claim as new und useful, and desire to secure by Letters Patent, is-
