SPECIFICATION forming part of Letters Patent No. 578,613, dated March 9, 1897.

To 6033 whom it may concern:

Be it known that 1, ROBERT FREDRIOK TIM- MONS, of Coshocton, in the county of Goshocton and State of Ohio, have invented an Improved Sign, of which the following is a specification. The present invention relates to signs; and the object thereof is to provide a sign-board in conjunction with a supportingframework Which can be readily secured in any desired position, the sign-board being attached toa series of iron braces and wooden supports.

With this object in View the present invention consists of the details of construction and arrangement which will more fully appear hereinafter.

In the accompanying drawings, which form a part of this application, Figure 1 is a rear plan View of the sign-board attached to the supports and braces. Fig. 2 is a top plan View.

Like letters of reference indicate corresponding parts in both views.

Referring to the drawings, A represents the sign-board, which'may be of any shape, material, or size.

B B represent rectangular-shaped uprights, having the curved braces 19 b secured to the front edge e of the said rectangular-shaped uprights B B, the said uprights in the present instance being constructed of wood, as that material is more convenient for my purpose. The said braces 12' b are so curved as to conform with the concave surface of the signboard A.

Zigzag iron braces d d are attached to the rear edges of the wooden uprights B B, their object being to strengthen and to hold them into position, thus making the sign-frame rigid and stiff.

The object of making the supports of wood is to accelerate the fastening of the signboard frame to the place in which it is desired to'be placed.

Having thus described my invention, What I claim as new, an d desire to secure by Letters Patent, isi In the herein-described sign, aframework, said framework consisting of rectangular wooden uprights, curved braces secured to the top and bottom of the front edges of the said uprights, zigzag braces secured to the top and bottom of the rear edges of the said framework, a curved sign-board secured to the said framework, substantially as set forth and described.
