To all whom, it may concern:

. Be itknown that I, GEORGE M. MOCLEARY, of McKeesport, in the county of Alleghenyand State of Pennsylvania, have invented a new and useful Improvement in Breast-Forms, of which the following is a full, elear,'-andexact description. A

My invention relates to an improvement-in. pneumatic breast-forms.

The object of the invention is to supply a long-felt want to the female portion of the human family to whom nature has not given a symmetrical or fully-developed breast contour.

A further object of the invention is to provide a breast-form which will be of inexpen sive adornment, and one which will perfectly fit to the figure and may be worn with 'comfort, and, furthermore, to so construct the form that it will appear natural in shape, size, and to the touch.

The invention consists in the novel construction and combination of the several and pointed out in the claim.

In cross-sectional contour the form is provided with a coneaved fectly air-tight and in such manner that it may expand or shrink in a'manner to adapt and in order adapted to touch, a band 12, constructed of metal or, other non-elastic material, is woven or cemented in the back porsuch-material is used, and is placed near its margin, as shown in Figs. 2 and 3. Whenrubber cloth is used, it is woven overthe band. This band is ordinarily cut from a single sheet. In other words, it is endless and is given the requisite shape, while its outer face is beveled or otherwise manipulated, so that it will 'fit'snugly to the flesh and will not lacerate the same or be in any wise uncomfortable,.since it is to be understood that the form -is to be worn directly next to the body. H The form is provided with a valve 13, cen trally placed upon its outer surface, as is particularly shown in Fig. 3, through the mediumof which the said form may be inflated, when desired, and collapsed by permitting the escape of air therefrom.

Each form has a shoulder-strap 14 attached to its upper edge at the back, and each shoulder-strap, preferably at the front, is provided with a buckle 15 or its equivalent, which will enable the shoulder-straps to be adjusted,

and these straps may be made as ornamental as desired, and at the back the straps are attached in any suitable or approved manner to a body baud or girth 1Q. The said girth at the central portion of its back is divided and the ends connected by a-lacing 17 ,in order that the diameter'of the girth may be increased or decreased, as may be found necessary, and to providefor the freedom of the diaphragm elastic strips 18 may be introduced at various points in the girth 16, being ordinarily placed at the sides, as shown in Fig. 1. The front portion of the girth may extend entirely across the back of the two forms, or

may be attached to their outer side. edges only. In either event the girth is held upon the body and the forms in proper horizontal alinement by means of clasps 19, attached one member to each of the forms at the centralportion of their opposing inner edges,

and the two members of the clasps may be united by forming studs upon one member toenter slots in the opposite member in the nature of a corset-clasp; but any form of clasp may be substituted for that shown, that will not be liable to inconvenience the wearer.

, is evident that the breast-form and all of its appurtenances may be quickly adjusted, and, furthermore,.that they will be exceedingly light and may be rendered as ornamenital as desired.

Having thus described my invention, I claim as new and desire to secure by Letters Patent The combination with pneumatic breastforms having convexed outer caved inner faces,'said forms having embedded therein endless non -elastic shaping-bands 12, said bands lying wholly within the margins of the forms, whereby the latter are held close to the body where said band touches;
