ATTACHMENT FOR CONNECTlNG SKIRTS AND BODICES F DRESSES SPECIFICATION forming part of Letters Patent No. 537,104, dated April 9, 1895.

morganshire, England, have invented certain new and useful Improvements in and Relating to Attachments for Connecting the Skirts and 'Bodices of Ladies Dresses, of which the following is a specification.
This invention relates to certain new and useful improvements in attachments for connecting the skirts and bodiees of ladies dresses, and the object of my invention is to prevent the waistband or belt to which the attachment is fastened from becoming puckere In order that my invention may be readily understood, reference is made to the accompanying drawings, in which Figure 1 represents a front elevation, and Fig. 2 a side elevation, of my invention.
In carrying my invention into practice, I form or provide a strip of metal A of suitable dimensions with any desired number of hooks B, and which strip of metal A is adapted to be sewed to the Waistband or belt of a ladys dress. Each of said hooks B is adapted to receive an eye E which is sewed to the skirt of a ladys dress and by means of which the skirt and bodice are connected together. For the purpose of preventing the belt or waistband becoming puckered, I form or provide the strip of metal A with any desired number of wings O which are adapted to be sewed to the belt or waistband being provided for this purpose with apertures D. By these means it is impossible for a belt or waistband to become puckered. v
I wish it-to be understood that I do not confine the application for my improvements to an attachment exactly as described, as such improvements may be applied to almost any kind of dress attachment.
Having now described my invention, What I claim as new, and desire to secure by Letters Patent, is
The combination with an attachment for connecting the skirt and bodice of a ladys dress, and consisting of a strip of metal A provided with hooks B adapted to receive the eyes E, wings or the like 0 formed integrally with the Said strip A at positions between the hooks B and extending in both directions from the strip A, said wings being provided with apertures D, all for the purposes and substantially as described and illustrated.
