- SPECIFICATION forming part of Letters Patent No. 521,032, dated June 5, 1894. Application filed July 19, 1893. Serial N0 14180|928|V (No model.)
To all whom it may concern:
Be it known that I, GYRU s MARSH, a citizen of the United States of America, residing at Washington, in the county of Adams and State of Mississippi, have invented certain new and useful Improvements in Plows, of which the following is a specification.
My invention relates to, improvements in plow standards, and the object of my invention is the provision of a simple, durable and inexpensive standard made of cast metal which will provide a novel arrangement of parts to permit of the attachment of the point and inoldboard, beam and handles of the plow.
The invention consists of a plow standard embodying novel features of construction and arrangement of parts as disclosed herein.
Figure 1 is a side elevation of a plow complete having my standard. Fig. 2 is a side elevation of the standard. Fig. 3 isa similar View from the opposite side, and Fig. 4 is a bottom plan view.
In the drawings A designates the standard, having the keel portion a, the upright plied and which is of simple, durable, cheap and practical construction.
I claim- The herein described plow standard, having the long keel portion; the upright portion provided with the offset forming a socket or depressed portion; the curved rib or flange having the angle shaped rest and the two side flanges of difierent sizes; as shown and for the purpose stated.
