To all whom it may concern.-
Be it known that I, MAX MEYBERG, a citizen of the United States, residing at Los Angeles, in the county of Los Angeles and State of California, have invented a new and useful Chandelier-Display Hanger, of which the following is a specification.
My invention relates to devices for suspending chandeliers in stores for display purposes. It has been customary to suspend the chandeliers by means of chains from horizontal rods attached to the ceiling. Much difficulty, however, is met with in adjusting the chain to a proper length to hold the chandelier at the height desired to give the attractive appearance sought. It is also difficult to change the position of the chain upon the ceiling-rod.
The objectof my invention is to provide acheap and simple device for suspending the chandelier from such ceiling-rod, which device can conveniently and accurately be adjusted as to length and can be readily moved along the ceiling-rod to bring the chandelier in the exact position desired, so that the chandelier can be easily arranged to present an attractive and pleasing effect.
The accompanying drawings illustrate my invention.
Figure 1 is a perspective view of my improved display-hanger broken away in part to contract the view. In this view the upper hook is turned a quarter-way around from the posit-ion in which I preterit to be with relation to the other parts. Fig. 2 represents my improved hanger in position with a chandelier suspended thereby.
My improved hanger consists of the combination of the upperhook-rod A, provided at its upper end with the ceiling-hooks a and at its lower end with the perforated thumb-screw block B, the pointed thumb-screw 5, arranged to screw into and across the rod-hole hin the block, and the lower chandelier-rod 1), pro-' Then the thumb-screw is again tightened against the upper rod, thus preventing the rods from slipping. The hanger, being rigid, is easily slipped along the ceiling-rod to the exact point desired. By this means the chandelier can be adjusted to the exact position desired.

As a new article of manufacture, the chandelier-display hanger set forth, consisting of the combination of the upper hook-rod provided at its upper end with the ceiling-rod hook and at its lower end with the perforated thumb-screw block, the th umb-screwarrangedto screw into and across the rod-hole h in the thumb-screw block, and the chandelier-rod provided at its lower end with the chandelierhook and at its upper end with the perforated rod-block. f
