rlhe frame, Fig. 1, is made of cast-iron or brass; letters A and B, the aperture for the reception of the roller, Fig. 3.
In Fig. 2, A A represent the frame; B, the
roller; C, the hood, and D the pin passing through the eye.
The roller, Fig. 3, is cast of india-rubber, is
about an inch in diameter and three-fourths of an inch Wide, B, and the metallic core and eye, E.
Fig. 5 represents the insertion of the machine in one edgev of the sash G G and the ivory F F in the other.
Fig. Jcrepresents the end of the sash n situ, and the insertion of the machine G and the ivory F. The ivory strips mentioned are onehali'a-ninch Wide and over one-eighth of an inch thick, and the length corresponds with thickness ofthe style ofthe sash, and its use is to Obviate undue friction.
Now, what I claim as my invention, and desire to secure by Letters Patent, is-
The combination of the whole of the abovedescribed machinery and its appropriation to the purposes herein specied.
Witnesses: JAMES WARREN.
