To all whom, it may concern:
Be it known that I, NVARREN H. TAYLOR, of Stamford, in the county of Fairfield and State of Connecticut, have invented a certain new and useful Glass-Holder and Number- Plate for Doors of PigeonHoles 0r Post-Office Lock-Boxes, of which the following is. a specification, reference being had to the accompanying drawings, in which- Figure 1 is a view of the back side of a door having my invention applied to it. Fig. 2 is a section of the same on the line 2 2 of Fig. 1. Fig. 3 is a sect-ion on the line 4 4 of Fig. 1.
My invention consists of a peculiar spring glass-holder and number-plate combined with a glazed door, as hereinafter described. B indicates the body of the door; C, an ordinary spring-bolt, and D an ordinary lock.
E indicates a combined number-plate and glass-holder. This is curved or inclined at its 25 ends F, which are fastened to the frame by screws G, or otherwise, so as to cause the central portion or number-plate to press forward against the glass and hold it securely in place.
What I claim, and desire to secure by Leto ters Patent of the United States, is
The combination, with a door, of a glass mounted in the door, and a combined spring glass-holder and number-plate secured at its ends to the door and bearing against the glass, 3 5 substantially as set forth.
