UNITED STATES PATENT OFFICE.
FRANK MCMIGHAEL, OF DUBOIS, PENNSYLVANIA.
COUPON- TICKET.
SPECIPICATION forming part of Letters Patent No. 359,620, dated March 22, 1887.
Application filed March 20, 1886.
To all whom it may concern.-
Be it known that I, FRANK MoMIoHAEL, a citizen of the United States, residing at Dubois, in the county of Clearfield and State of Pennsylvania, have invented certain new and useful Improvements in Coupon-Tickets, of which the following is a specification.
My present invention relates to improve ments in coupon-tickets, and has for its object to provide a ticket with a coupon attached with a programme of exercises thereon, with, also, date, section, row, and number at the head, which coupon can easily be detached from the ticket andbe retained by the original holder thereof, while the ticket passes into the hands of the door-keeper, all of which will be fullyhereinafter described, andpointed out in the claim.
In the drawings annexed hereto, Figure 1 is a front view of my invention, showing the face of the ticket and'coupon attached. Fig. 2 is a back view of the ticket with coupon attached.
My ticket is composed of two parts, viz., A B. A represents the ticket, on which may be printed the name of the show, entertainment, or other matter that may be desired. B represents the coupon, on which is printed the date, section, row, number, and programme, and both A and B are joined together at a a, and may be separated by means of the perforated line a a.
Serial No. 195,960. (No model.)
By using my invention a ticket is secured which has attached to it a programme of exereises, which may be detached at the will of 5 the holder, and may be retained by him.
The ticket has thereon the name of the show and the kind of seat to which the holder thereof is entitled.
The coupon has thereon the date of the show, the section of seats, row, and number thereof to which the holder is entitled to occupy for the date stated, with the programme of exercises.
Having thus described my invention, what I claim, and desire to secure by Letters Patent, 1s-
The herein shown and described combined coupon-ticket and programme, consisting of the detachable ticket A and the coupon B, which latter is provided with the necessary matter to designate the particular seat to which the holder is entitled, and at the same time contains a programme of said entertainment, substantially as and for the purpose de- 5 scribed.
.. In testimony whereof I have hereunto fixed my signature in the presence of two witnesses.
FRANK MoMIOHAEL.
